The latest face for designer Marc Jacobs is a tall, long-legged blond with full lips and cheekbones to die for. But this model is no ordinary stunner.Andrej Pejic is a man. The 19-year-old male model's feminine features and long, lush locks are causing a frenzy among designers and editors who are completely fascinated with Pejic's extreme androgynous look.

Look for him as the face of Marc by Marc Jacobs as well as Jean Paul Gaultier in their spring 2011 campaigns, according to Women's Wear Daily. The Serbian model, who fled the war-torn country in the late 1990s with his family to settle in Australia, has already appeared in French and Italian Vogue.

He was discovered by the Matthew Anderson, director of Chadwick Models in Melbourne. "His beauty," Anderson told the Sydney Morning Herald, "was extraordinary. He's also intelligent and it's amazing, really, that he's just so comfortable in his own skin.'

In a world where male models tend to look buff and brawny rather than slight and slender, Anderson wasn't sure the world was ready for such, well, prettiness. "I may as well push it to the limits," he told WWD back in June. "I wouldn't dress this way if I didn't have fun with it."

Anderson has already signed another male model with an equally strong "femiman" look. Pejic is all male but other designers are pushing the gender envelope even further. Givenchy designer Riccardo Tischi signed Lea T., a Brazilian transsexual to from his Fall Winter 2010 fashion line.
