The Only Way is Essex girls dazzled at last night's Baftas - and, fortunately, there wasn't a vajazzle in sight. Thanks to their fake tans, hair extensions and glittery gowns, the TOWIE lot threatened to leave other female TV stars in the shade. Amy Childs' gold fairytale frock made everyone else look like they'd just popped to the pub, while Lydia Bright and Lauren Goodger were also determined to sparkle. Love or loathe their style, at least these girls know how to stand out in a crowd. Here we give out our gongs for the dazzling dresses and frocky horrors at last night's glittering TV awards...
Louise Redknapp - The So You Think You Can Dance judge, 36, does dresseddown glamour in a dark Stella McCartney trouser suit. Michelle Collins - No danger of missing the returning soap queen, 49, who stands out in this OTT sequinned Nadine Merabi number. Tracey Emin Artist, 47, paints the town red in a Vivienne Westwood number - but forgot to do her hair.
Victoria Pendleton Olympic cyclist, 30, swaps the Lycra for a racy silver dress that's slashed to the thigh and has cut-out sides. Kara Tointon - This pink Temperley dress would have suited a much curvier figure than Kara's, 27. Pass the pizza. Hannah Tointon - Inbetweeners star Hannah, 23, looks the cat's whiskers in leopard-print Valentino. Gillian Anderson - The vintage red Dior gown is a hit but Gillian, 42, should have shrugged off that terrible sparkly shrug.
Jessie Wallace - Eastenders fave Jessie, 39, goes for simple but sophisticated in a black vintage halterneck dress. Charlie Brooks - Gorgeous Ariella Couture dress - it's just a pity soap star Charlie, 30, didn't get her roots done. Sheridan Smith - It's back to the 80s - in a bad way - for actress Sheridan, 29, in this pink fishtail Ermanno Scervino creation.
