It's that time again: new magazines hit the stands today! Cosmopolitan has "78 ways to turn him on," Vogue has "150+ ways to heat up summer hair," InStyle's got "166 summer style steals," and - trumping them all - Harper's Bazaar has "726 new looks."

How to choose? Maybe checking out the cover stars will help: A Vogue trifecta: Penelope Cruz, looking soft and summery on the American version; quirky fashion it-girl Alexa Chung rocks her second British Vogue cover; and Brazilian model, Isabeli Fontana, (looking very sun-drenched Sophia Loren) strikes a high-fashion pose on the French version.
Britney's back on the cover of Harper's Bazaar, looking perfectly lovely in a white cut-out Bill Blass dress. And just the right shade of dewy bronze skin sets off California blond locks. Hooray for Brit-Brit, who we hope has finally left the bad weaves and orange spray tan behind her.
On the other side, we have Brittany S. Pierce, Glee's resident one-liner queen, making us all feel badly about our summer beach bodies on Women's Health. Brittany is, of course, actually actress (and local gal) Heather Morris. Will dancing like Britney get you abs like that? Pass that yellow python! I'm a sla-ave, for you...From a Britney-Brittany matchup to a Cameron showdown. (Is it Justin Timberlake love interest month?)
Okay, Cosmo. We get it. You're the envelope-pushing, sexy women's magazine. But how do you put an A-list star on your cover in a snakeskin dress that looks like it's from the J-Woww trashtacular collection? Fugheddaboutit! Cameron on the U.K. cover of Elle wins by a landslide, although that pose is pretty Aniston-y. They should have gone with this alternate: Legs for days. And now, Olivia Wilde on Glamour! It's a Timberlake conspiracy, I tells ya. Wilde looks summerific in a nautical stripe T-shirt, red bikini and side braid.
And in a tie for cover that most makes us want to slather on sunscreen and pump up some steel drum music while sipping drinks with little umbrellas: Taylor Swift on InStyle wearing a vivid tangerine dress by Victoria Beckham. Love the hair, love the earrings, love the color. Yes.Looking at these 3 covers makes us wonder - Is it really summer? Rachel McAdams in black leather pants on Elle, Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson in tough monochrome on Marie Claire, and January Jones with a super smoky-eye and red lip on Allure. Pretty covers, all, but it's about to be June, for crying out loud. Color us confused. (Then color us tangerine.)
