The British Fashion Council has today announced that Sass & Bide will show on the official catwalk show schedule during next month’s London Fashion Week. The brand, famous for its skinny style of jeans loved by trendsetters Kate Moss, Sienna Miller and Kylie Minogue, will celebrate 10 years since starting out in the capital as an underground denim label.
Founded by Australian childhood friends Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton, the designers have witnessed the brand, celebrated for producing pretty womenswear pieces with a quirky twist, gain status internationally through showing their ready-to-wear collections at fashion week in London and New York.
The designers, who have since returned to their home country, said: “Ten years ago the concept for Sass & Bide was born in London. To be returning here 10 years later, showing in a city that we love so much and that fuels our creativity is really exciting.”
Sass & Bide will show their collection on the opening day of London Fashion Week, Friday September 18th, sandwiched between rising designers Emilio de la Morena and Aminaka Wilmont. So that’s another date to add to our ever-bulging diary for fashion week, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and promises to be nothing less than brilliant.
