Everyone likes a bit of Free Range these days. First it was the chicken then the egg (is that the right way round, I forget?) now it's art, design and even fashion. Taking the lead from our free-grazing feathered friends, Free Range first set up shop in.

The vast Old Truman Brewery back in 2001 with founder Tamsin O'Hanlon at the helm. Every June and July the cavernous space is transformed into one big art and design show. Visitors flock in their droves to see design, graphic, photography, art and interiors and, now for the first time, fashion offerings from the hot young things freshly turned out of 100 nationwide arts university courses like shiny new pins.
This year, as part of its tenth birthday celebrations, Free Range has announced a new fashion week will take place in the brewery from 2nd- 4th June as graduates stitch up a storm with three day's worth of catwalk runs. The graduates, hailing from as far afield as Winchester School of Art, Middlesex University and Somerset College are gearing up to titillate the taste buds of the fashion forward as they put the final finishing touches to some searingly sizzling clobber.Models will first don the offerings from BA (Hons) Fashion Design and BA (Hons) Knitwear Design course students from Winchester School of Art for a 2pm saunter down the catwalk on 2nd June.
Up next, “We believe in avoiding the bland and the ordinary” fashion graduates from Middlesex University send their garments zipping off down the catwalk on 3rd June, followed by an after show private view and portfolio viewing. Last but by no means least a 4.30pm slot on the June 4th sees the creatives from the BA (Hons) Design Fashion and BA (Hons) Design Fashion Textiles boldly put their first fashion feet forward with flair, pizazz and drinks and canapés afterwards. It's only fashion but we like it.
